  The "Gay Grab Bag" AA meeting is well-attended and well-run; the secretary chooses a "Big Book" topic, and then randomly chooses a speaker among the attendees to discuss using a random numbering system.

  This is a great community of truth seekers who welcome all comers ... by "welcome" I mean "we welcome you as you are" and definitely DO NOT mean "we welcome you to come and be like us." The services are liturgical (hymns, readings, a short sermon, etc.), but no two services are alike. The church has a strong ministry staff, and a strong lay worship staff, so it's always interesting and different. Progressive Christians, Buddhists, humanists and atheists alike feel comfortable there.

  A beautiful building smack dab in the middle of Downtown. Across the street is a lovely park.
