When I lived in San Jose last year, I spent some time davening with the ABT folks on weekday mornings. I was made very welcome, and was very comfortable there, even though the nusach (ritual) was sepahrdic and not what I grew up with.
I highly recommend ABT as a place of worship and of community.
Note that I left town just as Rabbi Green was starting, but I met him a few times, and found him a great fellow, and a great resource.Added June 08, 2017 by Ed Greenberg - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
Ahabat Torah has the nicest people I've ever had the honor of meeting. The Rabbi is a genuine, warm hearted person who is immensely knowledgeable in matters of practical Halakha. A local professional caterer, who happens to be a member of their congregation, is one of their cooks! From presentation to taste the food is A++!
I was there for a Friday night dinner, some Malava Malkas, and a board game night that they hosted. This is definitely the up-and-coming synagogue to keep your eye on in the Bay Area. I can't believe I'd ever have had so much fun in an Orthodox congregation!
Thank you to all the wonderful people at Ahabat Torah for the Kiruv and Hachnasset Orchim you have provided!Added February 27, 2017 by A Google User
